02 / SHOWWRANGLER STATION

A proper desk
for every position.

Put another Mac at the A2 desk, show caller’s position, playback rack or stage manager’s station. Station joins the Mac Host and opens the workspace for the role you sign in with.

The Host keeps the shared show. Station follows its live cues, talent and mic status, and sends supported crew actions back to that same show.

STATION / CONNECTED WORKSPACECREW POSITION
Your role, at your desk
Sign in with a role configured on the Host. Keep the relevant show workspace open on a dedicated Mac.
Live with the Host
Follow cue changes and crew status without passing a second show file around. Keep the Host and Station on the same local network.
Ready to return
Reconnect to the Host after an interruption. Pending edits, acknowledgments and conflict prompts help you track work that still needs to reach the show.

Download Host and Station above to rehearse together. Tablet brings the connected workspace to iPad; Companion keeps it close on iPhone.

From download to show.

Plain-text setup guide ↗
  1. 01

    Open the Mac Host

If updating, save your show and quit the running Host before replacing it. Unzip the download, move ShowWrangler to Applications, then open it. Create a test show or open a copy of your show file.

  2. 02

    Turn on the connection

Keep Host Server and Enable Remote Connection on in the Host’s connection settings. Keep the Mac awake.

  3. 03

    Choose your crew’s roles

Use User Roles on the Mac to check or set the role PINs. Your show administrator supplies each crew member’s PIN.

  4. 04

    Join from your crew device

Unzip Station, move SW Station.app to Applications, then open it. If updating, secure pending edits and quit Station before replacing it. For a local rehearsal, Host and Station can run on one Mac.

Use the same local network for Station, Tablet or Companion. Allow Local Network, choose the Mac Host, select your role and enter its PIN. On iPhone, Hide Keyboard or Enter closes the number pad.

Host not appearing?

Check both connection switches, the local-network permission and that your Wi-Fi allows devices to communicate. Use the Host address shown in its connection settings if discovery is unavailable.

04 / BETA NOTES

Give it a proper rehearsal.

Try pairing, live cue updates, backgrounding and reconnecting. Check that drafts survive interruptions and that every control stays reachable when you resize or rotate.

Report the app, version, device, role and steps that led to the issue to your beta organizer. Leave role PINs and private show files out of feedback unless you intend to share them.
